My biggest breakthrough came when I finally realized other people’s success was not my failure. It finally came to me one day that these people were achieving, not because of luck, birth rite or good fortune, but that they put themselves on the path to success by clearly setting goals.
Rather than sitting back and taking the ‘what will be will be’ attitude, I got clear and focused. I wrote down my plan. The key to a good plan is Firstly ( and to quote the great Tony Robbins, if I may) ” know your end result”. Begin with this as your title then below, write a list of realistic and unrealistic possible paths, people that can help, other people’s experiences. Reach out to people who are where you want to be and more importantly, reach out to people who failed to achieve what they wanted.
To a certain degree, I have achieved what I wanted but everyday I push myself a little further. It is important to look to see how far you have come but don’t dwell on it. As my martial arts instructor says “Never stop to admire your own work in the middle of a fight….you will get hit”
